Heather Suttles is an artist from Easley, SC. She began her formal studies in Fine Arts at Clemson University in 2002. She left Clemson in 2005, and pursued a journey as a Flight Attendant for many years. Living in New York, Texas, California, and several other states gave her a rare experience of submerging herself into many different cultures and styles. It was also during this time that she was able to study artwork all over the world. In 2012 she moved to Germany to do her apprenticeship in tattooing and worked in a shop in Wiesbaden for 3 years. It was only a year after her apprenticeship that she was first featured in Ink Magazine. After returning to South Carolina, she continued her studies in Fine Arts at Clemson University. She graduates in 2018, and plans to open a tattoo shop/art gallery.
Heather Suttles is from South Carolina, but has spent the last half of her life traveling and living all over the world. She married her husband, Eric, in 2011 in Savannah, GA. He has been her largest inspiration, and encouraged her to pursue her passions of art as well as being an advocate for animals. This passion has landed her back in school to finish a degree at Clemson University in Fine Arts with plans to graduate in May of 2018. Eric and Heather are in the process of beginning a recreational therapy inspired non-profit. It will focus on Veterans as well as rescued animals- pairing them together for healing.
